In a press release issued Tuesday evening, the Cobleskill Police Department has announced its agency's fourth drug sale related arrest since early May in coordination with the New York State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team (CNET).
The latest suspect to be apprehended is twenty year old Harrison Laporta of Centerport, New York on two counts of the Criminal Sale of Marijuana in the Third Degree, both of which are Class E Felonies. Mr. Laporta was arrested Tuesday afternoon after turning himself into local authorities.
It was discovered during an ongoing investigation that the suspect was accused of illegally engaging in the sale and possession of marijuana in Cobleskill. The information was then developed and it led to two separate purchases of the criminal substance on two occasions from Mr. Laporta.
The suspect was arraigned in the Town of Cobleskill Court and he was released on his recognizance. He is to return to Town of Cobleskill Court on July 8th at 4:00 pm for further action.
Anyone with further information regarding this incident, or with any information on drug activity in the Cobleskill community, is urged to contact Sgt. Rich Bialkowski at 518-234-2923. Any information provided will be kept confidential.
